GREENCAST <- Click for new window
The Intermountain Precast Wall system is a unique foundation and above grade wall system that has many advantages designed into the product. The Intermountain Wall system is a monolithically poured, insulated, concrete wall that may be structurally manipulated, as needed, for special loading circumstances.
The Intermountain GREENCAST Wall system is a concrete wall utilizing R-30 Expanded Polystyrene rigid insulation as insulation, as a vapor barrier and as a component to reduce the volume of concrete. The wall is designed to help alleviate problems associated with below grade construction and for home builders who require a heavily insulated and protective above grade wall.
The Intermountain GREENCAST Wall system is designed with interior pressure treated furring strips. These are for wall board, electrical and small plumbing as well as a solid anchor to allow hanging of interior decorations such as large pieces of art. Shallow foundation walls used as either a crawl space or a fully in-filled foundation for a slab will not utilize the pressure treated furring strips unless requested.
Intermountain Precast can save you time and money while supplying you with egress windows and window wells that include ladders, grates and clear plastic covers. This can all be quickly installed by our installation crew during foundation erection. Once our basement walls are installed with our window system you truly have no work left, except the finishing. Typically the precast walls have pressure treated wood bucks in place, built to your specification to accommodate doors and windows.
General features of the system are:
•Rebar may be placed vertical and/or horizontal as required by engineer.
